January MPS Challenge

I had a fun afternoon hopping around the MPS Blog Hop today. After I got all of the clues and put the challenge together I went into the scrappy room and got to work. I am putting together a Valentines box for my favorite pink loving soldier who is serving in Afghanistan. This sweet set of notecards will be perfect for her to send love notes home in! Now to get baking so the box can get sent off early next week!

The letter font is Storybook by Cricut. I added Cotton Candy Stickles to the roses for added dimension. Inside I stamped "thinking of you" in cocoa brown.

GNO!

Ghouls Night Out!

Over at Flaunt it Fridays the weekly challenge involves using a skull cut from a Cricut cartridge I don't have. I did find this skull cut on the Potpourri Basket cartridge though. I decided to do a little play on words and have GNO - Ghouls Night Out...the hottest "ghouls" in town! These photos are some of my favorite of my sister, stepmom and me. We grabbed Ginny and went to the piano bar for GNO. Too much fun!!

How Sweet It Is...

...to be loved by friends! I found this fabulous gift waiting for me in my mailbox today!
Thank you to my dear friend Piper for the perfect coffee cup and saucer with a yummy box of chocolate! It made my day! I can only imagine all of the wonderful yummy chocolate she has tried since moving to Belgium.

Work in Progress

That's me! Just a work in progress. My craft room, projects and blog all fit into this category right now also. I just can't seem to focus on projects while the kids are home. I get sidetracked with whatever fun thing they are doing!

Until I get my rear in gear, here is a great print by DAVE over at Etsy. He has the cutest coffee prints!

Cheers!

Happy New Year!

We are snuggled in warm and toasty on this first day of 2011. The temperature outside is 12 degrees, brrr! So thankful for the gas fireplace, hot coffee and warm quilts.

My neighbor and I started a Bunco group recently. Our first Bunco night is January 10th, at my house. After being the new gal in town for the past 6 months, I am very thrilled to have a group of 12 ladies coming to my house for fun and merriment! I decided to go with a Martini theme for the evening. We will have several types of Martinis and yummy appetizers. My theme just happened to work into this week's Flaunt it Fridays Challenge also! With that in mind, I made these Martini place cards for the drink table.

Here is a peek at each on individually:

I used the From My Kitchen cartridge for cricut for the Martini glasses. they were cut from Bo Bunny white glitter paper. I then used a glue been and extra fine glitter to rim the glasses with "sugar". For the Chocotini I made little chocolate shavings fro the rim with brown card stock. Each place card was mounted on chipboard pieces for sturdiness and then trimmed with blue chalk ink.

Now I get to go shopping to find some cute napkins and plates that coordinate with my color scheme!
